Frequently Asked Questions

Lease-to-Own lets buyers purchase marketplace-listed domains through monthly installment payments instead of paying full price upfront. The domain is held in custody until fully paid.
Plans range from 2 to 120 months with a minimum $50 monthly payment. Sellers can require a down payment of 1-50% (default 20%).
Domains listed between $240 and $2M are eligible for Lease-to-Own. The seller must enable LTO when creating or updating their listing. For step-by-step setup, see our Lease-to-Own guide and listing guide.
If a payment is 7 days overdue, DNS may be disabled. At 14 days overdue, the agreement is terminated and the domain returns to the seller.
Sellers receive installment payouts with a 3% commission deducted from each payment. Payments are processed automatically via Stripe.
