A privacy-centered way to communicate in Web3

TL;DR: We’re introducing Unstoppable Email, an anonymized way to communicate with companies, services, and communities while maintaining the privacy of your personal email address. And with our first email integration partner, Skiff, you can now send end-to-end encrypted emails using your @ud.me email address.
Web3 is about ownership, but maintaining control of your personal data can be difficult. You often need to share an email to get important updates from your favorite apps, games, and metaverses – making it harder to know who has access to your email or to control what emails you get. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Unstoppable Email: a new, simple way to protect your email privacy.
Now, you can use your Unstoppable domain to create a free @ud.me email address, like JaneDoe.nft@ud.me. If you want to keep using your primary email, but add an additional layer of privacy, you can set up a @ud.me email address to forward to your private email address, so you can receive and reply to messages without revealing your primary email address. Unstoppable Email lets you block addresses, allow specific senders, or turn off forwarding entirely, all from within the Unstoppable Domains website under your domain profile page.
Alternatively, you can use your @ud.me email address to set up a new account with one of our email app partners. Today, we’re introducing our first email app integration with Skiff, allowing you to use your @ud.me email address to send, receive, and reply to messages on an end-to-end encrypted, privacy-first platform. Soon, we’ll integrate with more email apps, giving you more options for where you can use your ud.me email address.
How it works
We’re committed to maintaining your privacy, so the Unstoppable email feature is disabled by default. You can enable and manage your @ud.me email in the Email tab from your domain profile.
Next, you’ll have two choices: the option to use Unstoppable Email to have your messages forwarded to your personal email address, such as your Gmail or Outlook, or the option to use Skiff as a new email web and mobile app.
Option 1: If you choose your personal email address, all messages sent to your ud.me email address will forward to your personal inbox. External users contact you simply by using JaneDoe.nft@ud.me. Any email you respond to will show as sent from JaneDoe.nft@ud.me.
Unstoppable email uses an email proxy service to exchange messages for your domain’s @ud.me email address, ultimately maintaining the privacy of your personal email address. You can toggle forwarding on or off at any time, or block any senders from whom you no longer want to receive emails.
Option 2: If you create an account with Skiff using your ud.me email address, you’ll be able to send end-to-end encrypted, secure messages, in addition to receiving and responding to messages. Skiff also gives you the option to enable end-to-end encrypted, decentralized storage on IPFS in your account via the settings tab.
You'll be prompted to complete the Skiff setup flow from your domain profile to use this feature. If you elect to use this option, messages will not route to your personal email but rather to your Skiff account. Once your Skiff account is enabled, your ud.me email address will be the default option to compose and send end-to-end encrypted emails.
Apps, games, and metaverses can communicate with you in a privacy-centric manner
Many Web3 apps don’t have a way to communicate directly with their users – all they have are anonymous wallet addresses. Now, for the first time, apps can request a user’s @ud.me email address as part of their Login with Unstoppable integration through an easy to implement configuration.
As a user, you’ll have the option to opt in or out of sharing your ud.me email when you Login with Unstoppable. Unstoppable Email is a privacy-focused way for your favorite platforms to stay connected with you while maintaining the ethos of Web3 anonymity – preserving your privacy over your personal information.
A first-of-its-kind, privacy-centric way to communicate
We’re taking email in a new privacy-first direction, bringing well-understood functionality into Web3 by providing each domain owner with a free @ud.me email address. With Unstoppable email, your domain becomes your singular identity for Web3.
We’re excited to bring you Unstoppable Email and Skiff allowing you to communicate privately. Enable both features through your domain profile page and give them a try - we’d love your feedback.
